Out in Hendersonville, a piece of history was just discovered at a thrift store.
A WWII uniform in pristine condition was donated to the Hendersonville Samaritan Thrift Store last week by the family of the man who wore it. In the pockets, a pencil and hand-written receipt for dance lessons dated in October 1945. It belonged to Sergeant H. Goodrich and now, rather than going for sale, it’s been donated to Hendersonville’s VFW Post.
They’re now looking into getting it into a history museum.
