July 27 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday called on the Senate to pass a bill to make daylight saving time permanent amid opposition to the measure.
The U.S. House of Representatives this month passed the bill to make daylight saving time permanent, but it faces an uphill battle in the Senate. Trump is personally calling senators urging them to support it. “Hopefully the Senate’s going to approve that one,” Trump said.
