ABOUT BOOT BARN: What started as one western storefront in 1978 has since become the largest western and western-inspired fashion retailer in the nation. Guided by the heart of the cowboy and the values of the West, Boot Barn has one simple vision: to offer everyone a piece of the American spirit—one handshake at a time. For more information, visit www.bootbarn.com.
ABOUT VOICELESS: Art comes to life in Wonderwest by Boot Barn’s theatrical interpretation of the original outlaw—their faceless cowgirl. In an ever-evolving industry, western fashion has stood strong against the winds of change. Pieces with influences from the Old West—from classic cowboy boots to fringe-laden leather jackets—have retained relevance in contemporary and high-end fashion. Their staying power is a testament to the ideals of the American cowboy, a symbol of independence, rebellion, and strength in a world of chaos and uncertainty. As the creators of Wonderwest, a bold collection of elevated western fashion, Boot Barn creates the fusion of contemporary and western-fashion pieces inspired by the legendary cowboy.
“Voiceless” breathes new life into this sentiment, fusing theatrical interpretations of western fashion woven with threads of resilience, art, philanthropy, and entertainment. These worlds are bound with narratives of empowerment where strength is found in numbers. Through a rebellious army of faceless cowgirls, united in unison as they reclaim their power, the fashion show exemplifies community strength. Echoing this notion, the philanthropic components—focused entirely on the dire need to advocate for and safeguard wild mustangs—illustrate the power achieved when communities come together to create change. Through art and enlightenment, a voice to the voiceless prevails.
MIRANDA LAMBERT X MUTTNATION & LUCKY BREAK RESCUE
When her music career began to take off in 2009, Miranda Lambert, a lifelong animal advocate, sought to use her platform to help animals in need, and she co-founded MuttNation—an animal rescue organization—with her mother. This year, MuttNation is starting a new chapter with an exciting focus to include horse rescue facilities. They are launching an annual Idyllwind Grant, named after Miranda’s first horse, and awarding it to Lucky Break Rescue for their incredible contributions to saving horses.
About Lucky Break Rescue:
Lucky Break Rescue is a woman owned and operated nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing at-risk equines, specifically slaughterhouse horses. Founded by Caitlin Oponski, known as Cowgirl Cait, who has dedicated her life to rescuing animals. Lucky Break Rescue rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes at-risk horses.
RILEY GREEN X HEROES AND HORSES
Proudly singing the lyrics he penned, “Brave is eighteen wearing army green,” patriot, hunter, avid outdoorsman, and founder of Buford Bonds Charitable Fund, a resource for charities benefiting veterans, Riley Green will be partnering to raise awareness for the efforts of Heroes and Horses, a nonprofit organization that offers combat veterans an alternative solution for healing through their unique equine program.
About Heroes and Horses:
Heroes and Horses offers combat veterans an alternative solution for defining and approaching their physical and mental scars—a solution that does not include prescription medications or traditional psychotherapy, but rather the opportunity to use tools to redefine their purpose, rediscover their inner strength, and maximize their potential by taking ownership of their lives for the first time since leaving service.
Over 41 days, they use a 360-degree whole human approach that combines breathing techniques, meditation, remote wilderness, and wild horses. Their goal is to break the addiction cycle of outsourcing the decisions that impact their lives. Heroes and Horses’ vision looks at how everything works together, creating space so a person can heal.
JELLY ROLL X MUSTANGS OF AMERICA FOUNDATION
A man who embraces new beginnings and reinforces the notion that change and growth are within reach, former prison inmate turned music superstar, impassioned advocate, and inspirational public figure Jelly Roll will be partnering to raise awareness for the efforts of Mustangs of America Foundation, a volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to changing lives and inspiring hope.
About Mustangs of America Foundation:
Devoted to eradicating cruelty toward mustangs and burros, Mustangs of America Foundation is committed to informing the public about mustang and burro adoption and training programs while providing the support and resources necessary to ensure the long-term betterment of the animals.
With a community of animal advocates—from professional horse trainers and clinicians to the Bureau of Land Management—Mustangs of America Foundation actively supports inmate training programs, pairing inmates with mustangs for mutual rehabilitation, promoting relationship building, patience, trust, the value of life, self-love, overcoming fears, empathy, and hope for the future.
